Herb Grounds, Community Volunteer

Herb Grounds graduated from North Texas State University, Denton Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and later received a Master Of Science degree in Guidance and Counseling from our Lady Of The Lake College in San Antonio Tex. He spent 24 years as an officer in the USAF specializing in Aircraft Depot overhaul and retired in 1988 at the grade of Colonel. He later became a Rockwell International Director of a business segment supporting the Hill Air Force Base Minuteman Missile Guidance Control overhaul, in Clearfield Utah.

Later Herb worked for ENTEK, providing System Engineering process reviews for Defense overhaul depots. He performed in this capacity until 2001 when he and his wife Jenny totally retired in Auburn. He has served the senior community for numerous years and enjoyed serving Meals On Wheels. He is presently serving on both the Salvation Army and Seniors First boards. Herb and Jenny have two children and five grandchildren.
