so vital to an elder’s psyche.But we rely on the generosity of volunteers. How much? Currently we have 14 seniors on our waiting list for a friendly visitor. Every day that goes by without enough volunteers is another day these seniors are lonely.
Please consider donating your time:
MyRides – transportation to and from medical appointments and daily errands
MyMeals – delivery of hot meals to homebound seniors
Home Modification & Safety Repair – small but significant handyman projects such as ramp and smoke detector installation to make home-life safer
Friendly Visitor – scheduled visits with a lonely homebound senior
Recreation & Respite – monitoring recreational activities at a social daycare for seniors with physical or memory impairments
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, have a heart for seniors, and can set their own schedules! Please contact Barbara to volunteer.
