Information and Assistance
Meals and Nutrition
Seniors First provides low-income seniors with congregate or home-delivered meals and supplemental groceries. Our Senior Meals and Nutrition Program has been in operation for nearly 40 years and is one of more than 5,000 independent, community-based programs serving Meals on Wheels (MOW) across the country dedicated to addressing senior hunger. For more information on eligibility and enrollment, call Seniors First, toll free, at (800) 878-9222.

Transportation Assistance
Seniors First offers three transportation resource options for seniors and people with disabilities: (1) Reimbursing volunteer drivers, (2) linking riders with chronic conditions to private providers with accessible vehicles for critical medical appointments, and (3) arranging non-emergency medical transport for those with no other options. Riders are also screened for food and housing insecurity and referred to resources as needed. For help identifying transportation options, call Seniors First, toll free, at (800) 878-9222.
Telephone Reassurance
Nothing improves one’s mental health and well-being like being in the presence of a caring, compassionate “friend”. Our Telephone Reassurance Program provides screened and trained volunteers to make weekly social phone calls to lonely or isolated seniors.
