Our Recreation & Respite adult day care program is designed to offer a change of pace and sense of independence to seniors with physical or memory impairments, as well as support for their caregivers.

R & R program activities are designed to enhance participant well-being and include such things as:

  • socialization
  • games
  • music
  • arts and crafts
  • exercise
  • group discussion
  • adventures with pets

Caregiver Support
R & R frees Caregivers to pursue their own interests while leaving their loved ones in a safe environment. A Caregiver Support Group is also available and provides an avenue for caregivers to make new friends, get referrals and take advantage of the opportunity to share in a supportive environment.

The R & R Team
Volunteers are the heart of the program. This creative and energetic group forms one-on-one relationships with participants and works in small group settings.

Personal Care Aides provide physical support to our participants. They are trained to handle special circumstances that could arise for participants dealing with physical or memory impairments.

Seniors First staff oversees the program. Staff members facilitate activities, support the volunteer team, supervise personal care aides, inform caregivers about their loved ones and direct caregivers to additional resources.
